GridX Connect vs YardTerminal

GridX Connect and YardTerminal both turn a donor VIN into an eBay Motors listing with fitment. They differ on Shopify, on who reads the listing, and on price.

We make YardTerminal, so read this knowing that. Everything below about GridX Connect is quoted from its own website as it stood on 8 October 2026. If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will correct it, with the date of the change.

The short version

These two are the closest products in this comparison series. Both are listing tools for used parts, both start from the VIN, both put fitment on the eBay Motors listing, and both have a free tier with no card.

If you want to be listing on eBay this week, on a product that is already live, GridX Connect is ahead of us. If you want a Shopify storefront and your counter on the same record as eBay, and a draft that a person must approve, that is what YardTerminal was built for.

What GridX Connect is

In its own words, "Salvage yard software built to sell, not just store." It is made by Autotek USA Inc. Its salvage yard page says a part "publishes to eBay Motors as a complete, fitment-verified listing" and then "syncs in real time so a sold part comes off the shelf everywhere."

Where GridX Connect is stronger

  • It is live. YardTerminal opens in October 2026 and has no customers yet.
  • Its paid plans start lower: $100 a month for 1,000 listings a month, then $240. YardTerminal's paid plans are $149 and $349.
  • It has VIN scanning built for the yard. Its page says "YardScan decodes it in 1–3 seconds".
  • It names its fitment depth: "engine-precise fitment and the right eBay category automatically".
  • It has its own marketplace, the Autotek Marketplace, as a second place to sell.

Shopify

GridX Connect's pricing page says it will "List, enrich, and sync inventory across eBay, Shopify, and your own store". On 8 October 2026 its homepage listed eBay as live, the Autotek Marketplace as live, and Shopify as "Coming soon". Its Free plan says "Sell on eBay only", and "Sell across eBay and 4 other channels" is on the $240 plan. The page does not name the four.

YardTerminal lists on eBay Motors and a Shopify storefront from one record today, on every plan. That is three channels counting the counter, and no more than three (see the limits page).

Who presses publish

GridX Connect: "It writes the listing and applies your own policies", and "You decide when it goes live." So a person starts the publish there too. Its site does not say whether each listing has to be read first, or whether a batch can go live in one step. Ask.

YardTerminal: the agent drafts the listing, flags what it was unsure of, and a person approves that listing. There is no setting that turns the approval off and no bulk publish.

Neither is wrong. A yard that wants a thousand parts live this afternoon will find our approval step slow.

The free tier

GridX Connect: "50 SKUs", lifetime, with "No expiry, no card needed". That is fifty listings in total. YardTerminal is free for 50 listings a month with no card and no end date.

Beside your yard system, or instead of it

GridX Connect's own FAQ asks "Does GridX Connect replace my yard management system?" and answers "It can work either way." YardTerminal sits beside a yard system and does not replace one. It does not read sales from that system either, so a part listed through YardTerminal has to be sold at YardTerminal's counter for its listings to end.

Where they are the same

Both say a part that sells comes off the other channels. GridX Connect: "A buyer checks out and inventory updates everywhere within seconds." YardTerminal ends the other listings when the sale lands and checks each one against the channel afterwards. We have not tested GridX Connect and are not going to claim ours is faster. Ask both of us to show you.

Questions to ask either of us

  • Which channels are live today, and on which plan?
  • Does every listing get read by a person before it goes live?
  • When a part sells at my counter, how does it come off eBay?
  • Where does the fitment come from, and what happens when it is wrong?
  • Is the free tier a monthly allowance or a lifetime total?
  • If I leave, how do I get my data out, and in what format?

Stop typing the same listing three times. One email when it opens. Nothing else, ever.
