We make YardTerminal, so read this knowing that. Everything below about Dismantly is quoted from their own website as it stood on 26 September 2026. If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will correct it, with the date of the change.
The short version
If you want one system to run the whole yard, you want every part published to every channel without anyone touching it, and you sell mostly in Australia, New Zealand or the UK, Dismantly is built for that and we are not.
If you are a US yard selling on eBay Motors, you already have a yard system, and you want a person at your yard to read every listing before it goes live, that is the job YardTerminal was built for.
Most of what follows is detail on those two sentences.
What Dismantly is
In their own words, "the operating system for the modern dismantling yard", and in their FAQ, "a cloud-based yard management system for auto dismantlers, wreckers, salvage yards, and used-parts businesses". The company is Dismantly FZ-LLC, established in the United Arab Emirates, and its iPhone app is published by Genius Autos LTD. It says it began in early 2019.
Its customer logos and testimonials are mostly Australian, New Zealand and UK yards, with a growing number in the US and on ebay.com. Its product uses the word "wreckers" and decodes "VIN or REGO".
Where Dismantly is stronger
We would rather you read this here than find it out later.
- It is live, with paying customers. Its homepage says "200+ yards across 7+ countries". Its About page says "120 Clients". YardTerminal opens in October 2026 and has no customers yet.
- It runs the whole yard. Vehicle purchasing with a theft check, auction intake, inspections, work orders, invoicing, a CRM, Xero sync and a network for trading parts with other yards. YardTerminal does none of that. It is not a yard management system.
- It has iPhone and Android apps, with QR scanning for moving parts and stock-takes. YardTerminal runs in a browser, including a phone browser, and has no app.
- It sells on more channels: eBay, Shopify, Trade Me, Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree, PartsTrader and Cap-Ezi. YardTerminal sells on eBay Motors, a Shopify storefront and your counter.
- It migrates you off an old system. Its testimonials name yards that came from Pinnacle and Breaker System.
- Unlimited users and data are included with every subscription, and support is 24/7 over WhatsApp.
Who presses publish
Dismantly: "Automatically list all available parts to every channel." None of their product pages mentions a review or approval step before a listing goes live.
YardTerminal: the agent drafts the listing and a person approves it. There is no setting that turns that off.
Neither is wrong. Some yards want listing to happen without anyone in the loop, and Dismantly is the better fit for them. We built the approval step because a wrong part number or a wrong fitment on a one-of-one used part costs a return, freight both ways and a mark on your seller account, and the cheapest place to catch it is before the listing exists.
What "AI" means to each
Both products say AI. They mean different things.
Dismantly's AI is called Axle. Its site describes a chat assistant ("Ask business questions and manage tasks via chat"), a market-price research tool, a vehicle-buying assistant and AI search. For eBay listings it says "Automate title & listing optimisation". It does not say the AI writes the listing.
YardTerminal's AI drafts the listing itself: the title with the OEM number, the category, the condition, the photos in order and a price argued from your own sales. Then it stops and waits for a person.
eBay Motors and fitment
Dismantly's site does not name eBay Motors or say which eBay site it lists to, and does not say it sends a part's fitment to eBay as the listing's compatibility list, as of 26 September 2026.
YardTerminal is built around eBay Motors. Every part pulled from a donor inherits that vehicle's year, make, model and engine, and the fitment goes on the listing as eBay's compatibility table, which is what decides whether a buyer who filters by their own car ever sees the part. A price you can see
Dismantly publishes no prices. Its pricing page ends with "Contact sales for a customized quote", and its site mentions no free tier or trial.
YardTerminal's prices are on the pricing page: free for 50 listings a month with no card and no end date, then $149 and $349 plans.
Where they are the same
Both say a part that sells on one channel comes off the others. Dismantly: "sell on one and have it auto remove from the rest". YardTerminal ends the other listings when the sale lands and checks each one against the channel afterwards. Dismantly's site does not describe how its removal works or how fast it is, so we are not going to claim ours is faster. Ask both of us to show you.
Questions to ask either of us
- Does it replace my yard system, or sit beside it?
- Which channels exist today, not on a roadmap?
- Does anything go live without a person reading it?
- What happens on eBay when the same part sells at my counter?
- Whose eBay account are the listings on?
- What does it cost, in writing, before I start?
- Which country's law governs the contract, and what does it say about my data?
- If I leave, how do I get my data out, and in what format?
